Coronavirus - Dig In, It's going to be a while yet

Like blinkers

And like wise when we are coming out we should do it in steps of two weeks over maybe two months.

569 deaths confirmed today.

I donā€™t know what it tells us but the positive rates for tests are insanely high in the UK versus elsewhere

Surly someone on health insurance should get you a ventilator before someone on a medical card .

Got charged a tenner for mine to fax a repeat prescription to cork. Seething

Honestly? You think that is the best way of ventilator distribution?

Specialist offered to do a ā€œreduced rateā€ for a Skype consultation. Sure all I want is the prescription. Thereā€™ll be a charge for that too.

I suppose they have to put bread on the table as well.

They are. Govt reaction at the start has been very difficult to row back on. Robert Preston had a thread about it on twitter suggesting, probably correctly that they are going for herd immunity by stealth and are only trying to spread out the deaths a bit.
Their refusal to test health staff for as long as possible suggests this is true. Their provision of anything but absolutely basic and inadequate protection for even front line health workers also would back this up, happy enough with a few score deaths amongst them.
Theyā€™ve basically provided just enough to stop widespread rebellion.if say parts of the UK are a power cut away from anarchy tbh.

Fcuk that, itā€™s appalling. There isnā€™t a consultant in Ireland without a housing portfolio.
