The reason Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea were prepared and acted quickly is they know from past experience that the CCP will do everything they can to cover up an event like this, just as they did with SARS in 2003. The CCP did everything in their power to hide this from the WHO and the outside world until it had already spread far from their borders. If you canā€™t see that distinction you are simply delusional.

Why are you defending a murderous totalitarian regime?
Is it because they are communist?

And lost a World War fighting (if you could call it that) alongside Hitler and the Nazis.

Iā€™m not defending anything. Iā€™m choosing not to attack based on political or racial prejudice.

Iā€™m just choosing to believe the official numbers. If that drives you mental and makes you want to attack me too, fire away pal. Iā€™ve broad shoulders

Iā€™d say there are millions dead in China

They probably took the opportunity to whack a few lads on top of it as well

Racial prejudice now? Can you not distinguish between criticism of a regime and criticism of people who live there or come from there?

I would have great time for Chinese people, have been there loads of times, worked with loads of them here, they are lovely people. One can hold that view and also hold the view that the CCP are a murderous totalitarian regime.

You need your head examined to believe any numbers coming from the CCP, whether itā€™s this crisis or economics. They issue whatever numbers they think are to their benefit, internally and externally. The same as any totalitarian regime. The USSR were the same, were you a fan of them as well?

Particularly when chief Cheltenham cheerleader @Thomas_Brady broke from isolation to walk his dogs.

I said I wasnt making the jump because of racial prejudice. Youā€™re an awful man to jump to a conclusion.

Sure you extrapolate out whatever number you want there because of your prejudice.

The numbers are consistent with others who acted clearly, early and with strict measures. But conspiracy, conspiracy, 8 million phones and an accountant who knows how many urns they ordered, an american radio agency reports etc, etc.

I wonā€™t believe anything that comes out of your mouth regarding anything much when you put on the politicians hat either. Its not very scientific

If 1% of the population got infected, and 1% of that number died, they would have 170k dead.

The first case in China was at the end of November, by the end of January when they locked down half the country, they said there were 3 dead. The first case in Italy was in February and six weeks later they have 14,000 dead.

What prejudice are you accusing me of?

The one that makes you jump to conclusions, without any factual based reasoning whatsoever

Thatā€™s some sweep sweep, even for this place

If said poster admitted as much instead of calling them heroes, people might stop

The only prejudice I have is against a murderous totalitarian regime. Which for some reason you have been defending here for weeks. Very strange behavior.

I mean Hong Kong is part of China so you can throw the racial prejudice out the window. Political wise, whatā€™s the point?

If those other places could manage it, why not China? Why were Hong Kong testing temperatures at the border on December 31st and lockdown didnā€™t start until over 3 weeks later in Wuhan? Why were doctors voices suppressed? Surely a country thatā€™s been through this before would react better, I would imagine any western country that sees this in the next 20 years will.
