Coronavirus - Dig In, It's going to be a while yet

The useless cunt is probably busy answering phones down the surgery. His PR people are missing a trick here youā€™d have to say

If thats what it takes Im open to it

Were we not doing well enough without this?

I was watching Ozarks. Who in there right mind Would suspect such a draconian , and historic, law, would be casually brought into fruition on Prime time.

Brady will be fine, thanks for faux concern.

No, this is exactly the measure that we need to be brought about on prime time of a Tuesday night.

36 deaths today? Im not sure if we are. People are starting to get complacentā€¦sister was telling me the canals were busy out this evening people boozing in the sun

Fuck sake, you want him to address the nation now

While Iā€™m comfortable with their reasoning this time, Iā€™m uncomfortable with the precedent this sets.

Would drinking at the canal be legal?

Anybody following the guidelines has nothing to fear

Only if you live within 2km of it

Probably not. But that isnt the ā€˜onlyā€™ example maybe of people starting to get complacent

ā€œAnybody who isnā€™t breaking the law has nothing to be worried aboutā€ a terrifying statement

Be my worry as well once I get over the inital shock of hearing it on Yates tonight show earlier. Its not needed in my view and a very dangerous precedent jokes aside.

What precedent is that? It was drafted by government, passed there, signed by the president and agreed on by the government departments, guards and attorney general.

No need to be imagining victim hood thats sinn feins wheelhouse

Maybe Im not paranoid enough but I really dont think ushering this in during the biggest national crisis most of us will ever see is a sign that the government is just going to ride roughshod over us for a generation

Are the Limerick lads all planning on heading to Kerry for the weekend or something? I donā€™t see what the issue is

Fair enough.

But Iā€™m with @Julio_Geordio on this. Iā€™m very uncomfortable with this. I think compared to most nations we were doing well as it was and this wasnā€™t necessary. Iā€™ve been inside sick for a few days so have not been out much. When I was though, and Iā€™m close to Dublin city center, I saw the rules being very well observed

Ugh this is so fascist. Typical blue shirts. I feel so oppressed right now. Uuuuuuugh

Can someone please outline what dangerous precedent this sets out.
