The same with rents etc. - We were told it was unconstitutional …
why do you think governments have taken these measures, knowing the consequences, I’d like to hear your thoughts on this. If you wouldn’t mind.
Also, did you not read the article? It directly counters the post you’ve just responded with.
All he had to say was he had a few briars to cut.
You see the issue there would be that it could be viewed as disproportionate as it would attack individuals. This is for the common good without question.
Yes. @Rocko made a speech about being nice to each other and to charge our phones and @Bandage was in charge of stocking up on cream eggs.
Terrible crisis management that. Putting the lad with the sweetest tooth in charge of confectioneries.
Christ! what about Simon’s Easter Bunny Tweet? Could that be a lie too?
300-400 people die from suicide every year and you’ve just tried to deny mental health is an issue. That’s in a normal year. You’ve no idea the effects of lock down will have on people long term but you are selfish and as long as you are safe in your box you are happy out and Think we should all fall in. Everyone is different and everybody has different coping skills. You are trying to deny this. The virus is here to stay and we will have to learn to adjust and live with it. Mental health is incredibly important and anybody that denies this should be ashamed of themselves.
He’d cut the head off a briar alright.
We havent declared an emergency tho ---- and we are discussing the legitimacy of forcing through that act now, which is a healthy discussion really - the lower number of deaths in Ireland from covid and the acknowledgment of gov that 99% of people are complying with measures add to the strangeness of signing it off.
No one is questioning the measure in itself really, we know we have to stay locked down … Whether it affects you is not really relevant. We’ve never introduced anything like this in our history so it’s fairly seismic in that regard and it was rushed through both houses of parliament and teed up with a prepared set of questions by Miriam O’Callaghan on Prime Time. It’s all healthy discourse. and a tiny bit of Leo bashing thrown in to keep standards up.
This is where we are at, everybody is suffering and it’s not a time to sit around feeling sorry for yourself. Unfortunately this is a generation who knows very little about graft, hardship and sacrifice - hopefully if there’s one positive after this is all over and done with that character will have been built and perspective will be gained as to what is really important in life.
Christ you have been an inspiration over this crisis.
I haven’t.
I’ve only said that there are a number of callous people jumping on the mental health issue to look after their own interests and vices.
He has been a beacon of light, patience of a saint.
You can see why the nordies never got rid of the Brits with how easy they bend over.
That’s just Trying deny mental health issues are problem. You are happy in your box so everybody else. You should think of everyone and people who are struggling to cope during this difficult time.
You’re right too.
He’s mopped the floors with allcomers. And yet, they keep swinging
reports of mortality rates for Italy, France and Portugal and a bit on the UK too, with 5 years data
Seems covid 19 deaths have been under reported.
Does the article clarify what it means by “dying from Covid-19”? You are firmly in the camp that believes that someone with serious underlying medical conditions who contracts the virus and subsequently dies has died from Covid-19. I am of the opinion that this is a ludicrous position. Attempting to assert that almost 14,000 people have died from Covid-19 in Italy is lazy and ignores the other factors at play.
I don’t think this is unconstitutional lads, the State has a lot of leeway to restrict “rights”.
They can stop you walking down Jones Road on All Ireland final day ffs sake
Another person who’s trying to deny mental health is an issue. There’s some very Sad people who are incredibly selfish because they feel safe.
