Some kick for teachers who are not living near the school.

Another ‘Done with Covid’ although at least admits he was wrong.

I still cant see this happening. If its safe for some, its safe for all and vice versa. Cant see unions giving this the green light. Wifi in schools wont handle all teachers teaching remotely from the school building.

It’s only €150 for the private ones

Even at that they’re making huge profits on it. There’s been maximum pricing of PCR tests of 50 or less introduced in other countries in Europe. If it’s still a viable business at 50 quid then it’s ridiculous how much they’re making on it.

The tests themselves are about 4 quid wholesale ex factory.

Here’s one amongst thousand of doctors the lunatics would like to silence

Death rate is not the issue. Infection rate is the issue.

Those teaching 6th years might feel a little bit aggrieved that those not teaching Leaving Cert’s could teach from home too.

Beautiful.

The only ‘journalist’ more odious than Toby Young is John McGuirk.

But sure you can’t please everyone. It’s better than schools being open fully which could have happened too. There should be a bit of a step-down or definitely a step up with not all students in at the same time.
Whatever solution they come up with it’s absolutely disgraceful that this wasn’t all planned and announced months ago when schools were open. This would have allowed unions and parents to question the measures and they could have been tweaked. This was a completely predictable situation and rushing to come up with a solution is really really difficult to believe.
