Shur lookit

Its a cod

People with Covid19 live two years longer than the general life expectancy for Ireland.

thousands are dying, there needs to be a severe imposition of restrictions

Our eldest lad was tested yesterday morning and we’re waiting on results. We’re in isolation mode which is a pure ball-ache after kids were back in school / ECCE last week and Mrs Mac back in work. He had a mild temp around 37ish, a cold and a cough. He always gets a cough this time of year and the school would send him home with one anyway now so we were advised to get him tested.

If every child coughing with a ‘new cough’ means a test and isolating until results come out I’d say schools will be running at about 50% attendance rate within a few weeks. Better to be safe and all that but I wonder where the line will get drawn.

Hopefully comes back ok. You should have the results today though?

24-48 hours we were told. We’re 99.9% sure he’ll be grand but will elderly grandparents its not worth the risk. We know of at least 5 other families in the same boat at the moment - there’ll be no such thing as a normal routine for this school year anyway

I’ve a touch of a head cold myself since yesterday (like that I always get one this time of year). I’m not sure at what point I should be booking a test, I’ve none of the main symptoms (cough, high temp, fatigue, loss of taste).

and you super spreading all over East Cork the weekend.

Seems like it was Cork that made him sick

there’s a cold going around down here alright.

What happens in a localised lock down? I presume pubs and bookies don’t close? You just can’t go to other counties is it?

Ffs and for how long?

There’ll be some traffic going through Adare of a Friday if the pubs are closed here and open in Kerry
