2% of Americans and Brazilians have now tested positive, with initial failures in testing and tracing and people who are asymptomatic, how high are we likely to suspect this is in reality?

10-20%?

A great boost for the local economy

NPHET are being told to do one. Lucky it’s the Dubs on the line. If it was Sligo or something they’d sacrifice the firstborn children in each household if NPHET recommended it

It might for a week until Wexford gets shut down then

It’s not the first time Dublin have had to face down threats for the good of all the island.

Lads don’t realize the Dublin spirit is a large reason for it being in the mix for six.

Open the pubs but keep them closed in a city that has 1/4 of the country’s population. NPHET are hard to beat when it comes to unworkable solutions

I’d imagine the % of pubs open in Dublin is a lot higher than anywhere else in the country.
There’s fear of their bollix.

Just read an article on the journal about attending sports. This bit caught my eye…

'Following the announcement, the GAA called on Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn to present the evidence that informed NPHET’s latest recommendation that all sport in Ireland revert to being held behind closed doors. ’

Was any evidence ever presented?

No

Why would they present evidence to the GGA?

Just because…

No but they did have a meeting with the heads of the main sporting bodies.

None. They came up with some wishy washy excuse about people meeting before and after matches with no data provided.

That gimp Prof. Philip Nolan came out with something along the lines of how dare the GAA question the acting CMO or NPHET.
