If it needed to be any starker of where we are now and our absence of a plan I think it was laid bare tonight. They āhopeā to open for Christmas and then when cases spiral again we will be locked down again in January. If you were to be objective about it we didnt really open up on a level comparable with any European country heretofore. Might get level 3 for a week or 10 days at Christmas. Govt are holding out for a vaccine but in reality they are like a lad in a Fiat punto on a motorway who has amber petrol light flashing on dashboard and is easing on and off the accelerator until he can get to the filling station. We are an embarrassment and the fact that entire opposition saw no problem with this is frightening.
