I’d say they’ll announce non Dublin pubs can open but they’re taking a wait and see approach on Dublin.

The problem they have is that cases will probably not go down all that much. How will they ever get them open in Dublin then?

Cases won’t go down because a lot of the spread must be among people who don’t frequent pubs.

Sure it’s like when they wouldn’t up the pubs at 20 cases a day as it wasn’t safe, until public opinion forced them to open them now with 200+ cases a day.

My auld lad is 77, a non-drinker all his life and he’s raging about the pubs not being open. Saying it’s patently obvious that we have to live with the virus and it’s not good enough to ruin people’s livelihoods without giving them a chance to adapt. He referenced the Tipp publican TJ that cried on the news, which shows it was a great PR stunt to get everyone onside.
