Changing the law practically overnight based on a 30-second Twitter clip of someone strolling past a few people chatting to each other in small groups is mental stuff. Same day they announced that it might take until the end of 2021 to bring in a law to make sick pay mandatory.

There will have to be some lead in time for Christmas. Otherwise people will flock to 6 counties more than they are doing already. My heart goes out to traders in counties like Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan.
