People dont expect anything anymore after today. I reckon an awful lot of people are prepared to look at the casualties going forward (by that I mean deaths) as just that. They’ve gone immune to it.

But sure isolating and restricting contacts is and always has been a completely personal decision in reality isn’t it? If your son tests positive you don’t have to tell anyone and can go about your business I presume. I doubt the majority would but I’m sure some do and who’d stop them.

The majority of posters (5) on TFK are and always have been happy to ignore fatalities from Covid. Thankfully it’s not representative of most Irish people. They’re tired of it but as a nation we’re an empathetic bunch. We’re a long way from being a mentaller nation thankfully.
