My point has always been get the vaccine by all means if thats your preference.
If youâre young though, I donât see a great risk/return out of it.
Donât get me wrong, if I felt sick I would stay at home etc. The fact that I havent got covid so far points to that. Whereas weâre all in this together nonsense - Tubridy and Claire Byrne obviously didnt do tbat.
The goal is 100% vaccination though - they wonât succeed and theyâll blame the unvaxxed. Thats around the corner next I imagine.

On holidays in the Portugal and just giving a quick update.
Passenger locater form was barely checked while my printed covid vaccine was checked independently to my passport. Could have been anyoneâs. No stress travelling.
Both were checked on entry to Portugal.
Arrived Friday .
Far more local people over here wear masks outdoors but any tourists from Ireland/UK/USA have abstained from this. Itâs uncomfortable seeing people wearing these things in the open but let them at it I suppose.
Sunday was the first day of near normality returning with bars open until 2. Vaccine or test allowed at the door to go indoors. Max capacity enforced and dancing not allowed. We were in a small bar hammered and bopped away but it was noticeably stricter in bigger bars.
The outdoor nature of baro alto street means there was well over a thousand down a narrow alley way drinking, dancing our hearts content which makes the rules in the bars very Irish indeed. All young people living their lives. Tony holohan and @Cheasty would not have approved to people having fun, drinking, shifting and every thing else that goes with it.
Outside the night life , during the day they seem to be very strict with mask wearing in all indoor areas in the city but I was informed by our boat guide last night the rules arenât applied much in rural areas. Kind of like Rural v Dublin etc.
Great to get off Craggy Island all the same.

I was in dingle for the long weekend and I can report back that nobody gives a fucking fuck about covid.
At around 9 pm in dick macks it started pissing rain and some lad broke out a guitar and started blasting out wonderwall with 50 or 60 of us signing along going bananas around the place.
It felt great to be alive again.
