Could Someone Give me Advice on Developing a More Consistent Soccer Training Routine

Hello there,

I have recently rekindled my passion for soccer and I am eager to improve my skills. Although; I have been struggling to establish a consistent training routine that effectively balances various aspects of the game; including fitness; technique; and tactical awareness.

I work a full time job; so my available training time is somewhat limited; usually confined to evenings and weekends. My main goals are to enhance my stamina; improve ball control; and develop a better understanding of positioning and game strategy.

What types of exercises or drills are best for building endurance and strength, particularly those that can be done in a relatively short amount of time?

How can I efficiently work on my ball control, passing, and shooting during my solo training sessions?
Are there any resources or methods you would recommend for improving my understanding of positioning, game tactics, and reading the play?

Given my limited time; how can I balance these different aspects to ensure a well rounded improvement without feeling overwhelmed?

Also, I have gone through this post; https://tfk.thefreekick.com/t/the-official-nottingham-forest-supporters-mlops/ which definitely helped me out a lot.

I am committed to making progress but want to ensure that my approach is sustainable and effective.

Thank you in advance for your help and assistance.

Ghuys/Ghirls, any tips for @Lanason here? I really don’t think reading the Nottingham Forest thread would have provided much to go on.

A rare genuine laugh out loud TFK moment for me

I really want to help this guy but my methods would be seen as old fashioned, perhaps the Limerick FC thread ?

Are you willing to play with yourself?

I think sticking his thumb up his hole would be genuinely more productive than reading the Nottingham Forest thread

Do you believe in the ball wall?

I think I laughed as hard as anyone, and I’m a Forest fan

Put the ball into the back of the net. No more about it.

Well, you can knock that shit on the head to start off with. We’re not here to be eager, nor are we here to improve…and passion is for chick flicks.

Are there any sand dunes nearby?

I don’t think @ceist 's brother or sister can run up a sand dune, but I may be wrong.
If so, I’m going to build a bunker and buy beans.

he needs to spend time in isolation kicking a ball against a wall to improve his touch.
