Tampa Police have confirmed to TMZ that former WWE wrestling star Andrew “Test” Martin has been found dead last night in his Harbour Island, FL apartment.
Police responded to a call on their welfare hotline from a concerned neighbor who had seen Martin motionless and was, “concerned for his well being,” after peering through Martin’s apartment window.
Martin, 33, last worked for the WWE in 2006 and once had a relationship with former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Stacy Keibler.
The cause of death has not been revealed, but police say no foul play has been indicated
That’s how it starts yeah. But that was back when I was a kid watching WM6, which was deadly. Champion vs Champion. Title for Title. The Ultimate Challenge.
Then I only dipped in and out for years mainly due to the availabilty of the channels. Around 1996, when they started gearing the show more towards teenagers and college students than kids it really took off.
When Hall and Nash jumped ship to WCW, formed the NWO and things kicked off from there.
This period where WCW and WWF were in direct competition was consistently brilliant.
From Austin and Bret Hart at WM, DX, to the Montreal Screwjob, Austin and McMahon, The Rock etc…
It peaked in my opinion right around 2001, with WM17 with Rock vs Austin.
Since then it has been the same rehashed storylines over and over and now that they are going back to a model that it more geared towards kids than teenagers and college students it is slowly losing my interest.
However, and this point can’t be underestimated, the most interesting thing about wrestling is the backstage politics.
So I’ll always be interested in things that arise from this.
Bret Hart’s book is an excellent read.
All the deaths in the industry certainly need to be looked at.
The more you learn about it the more you want to learn.

Yeah I suppose. The reason I’ve never dismissed it is because I’ve known geniuses who’ve watched it religiously. So there must be some intrigue somewhere. Still though, no more than this website there’s always better things to give your time to. I’ve two serious books I’d have finished by christmas if it wasn’t for tfk. And look at puke. He won’t find his extra yard of pace in this fuckin place.
Just had a quick scan through a ROH PPV from January that I intend to watch in the next day or two and Nigel McGuinness’ entrance song is Fuckin’ in the Bushes. Savage.
Nigel McGuinness is current ROH Champion and has been for over a year and a half if memory serves me. Myself and Shan are going to a PPV taping of ROH while we’re in Houston.

The handicap match is meh. I mean Jericho is against 5 guys. It makes him look like an underdog. I cant see the logic in it. I mean feck it they should have just let him face Flair in a singles match.
JBL’s going to retire (again) after 'mania apparently. He’s got a bad back so he’s going to win the Intercontinental belt and then retire or something. I hate him.
