I believe Yokosuna ended the run in question.
Do any of ye recall a classic bout between The 1-2-3 Kid and Bret Hart? Was it at Summerslam or something? Wonderful match - the kid earned the Hitman’s respect after it.
Bret and the 1-2-3 Kid had a great match on Raw before, is that the one you’re talking about?
It might well have been. Saw it again about 2 months ago but I can’t remember what dvd it was from. It could have been the Raw anniversary one though.
The match is on the Wwe Raw best of 15 Years Dvd. The hotel looks classy. Im being told it is has a metro line near it that leads to the Reliant Stadium.
Dont read if you havent see raw although I heard this before hand.
Cena needs surgery on his neck. If you go by how long it took Austin and Edge to come back he wont be back till the end of 2009.
From www.wrestlingobserver.com:
In great news for WWE, John Cena’s surgery was a success today and the new prognosis is that he’ll be able to return within two to four months. He didn’t require fusion surgery, they just removed a fragment from his spinal cord that was blocking a nerve. Dr. Joseph Maroon told WWE.com that he was very positive about how the hour and a half operation went.
Christ, most of the WWE roster is going down injured at the moment.
Shawn Michaels suffered an apparent torn triceps at Raw the other night but there’s talk he’s going to compete at Unforgiven and hold off on surgery until after then. Kennedy’s also going in for surgery to join Cena on the sidelines, Edge is having his break from the scene after Undertaker sent him to ‘hell’ at Summerslam and Randy Orton has yet to return in the ring (although he did some mic’ stuff the other night apparently.
Michaels could have broken his neck here:
I heard it wasnt as bad as feared and Hbk should be ok for the match against The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla at Unforgiven this Sunday.
This is from wrestlezone.com:
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE has been discussing The Undertaker’s Wrestlemania streak quite a bit in recent creative meetings. They are toying with the idea of having 'Taker’s streak come to an end, but are in the midst of discussing who would be the best candidate to defeat him. Vince, at this point, feels that the streak should never end, however he is open to hearing ideas that would involve a superstar on the “rise” to be the one that defeats the dead man. Most creative members feel that an established star should NOT be the one that ends the streak, but rather a rising star that could benefit from the enormous rub. One wrestler talked about is Ted DiBiase, as Vince is very high on him and hopes to push him as the next Randy Orton. There has also been discussion of bringing in Ted DiBiase Sr, to work a possible angle with The Undertaker and DiBiase Jr, as The Million Dollar Man introduced 'Taker when he debuted.
I reckon they should allow The Dead Man to keep his streak.
Well I wonder will Houston be ok by the time we’re going boyos. Ike is a bollox
Taken from Prowrestling.com
Hurricane Ike has caused damage to the Reliant Stadium, which is where WrestleMania XXV will be hosted. Sundays NFL game between the Texans and Baltimore Ravens has been cancelled. “The facility will not be usable,” Sherry Guinn, president of SMG said. “There’s some structural damage to the roof. Part of it is off.”
WWE announced earlier this week that the on-sale for WrestleMania has been postponed until October 11, 2008 due to Hurricane Ike’s expected effect on the local area.
Hopefully its not too bad. Its still 7 months to Mania so it should be okay for the Big Dance. I have heard the rumours that Mania will be built around Stone Cold with a hall of fame induction and possible match. That would be something special.
On another note Mick Foley going to Tna. He got sick of Vince moaning at him in his one good ear on commentary so fooked off to Tna to lose to the likes of Samoa Joe and Aj Styles.
Also Booker T is unable to make the PPV tonight. Can’t get a flight out of Houston which of course is his home town. Samoa Joe and Aj Styles are two of the best in the business.
That’s mad stuff about the Stadium. When I actually posted about Ike it was only as a joke.
Yeah Booker is out so it looks like the Fatal Four Way match will become a Triple Threat. If only they got Bret Hart to appear then I might actually watch it. I see they are still pushing tickets for the show in the National Stadium. I would have thought a small arena like that would be sold out by now.
I think I might pop along to the Basketball Arena to see Bret Hart in October. You going Shan?
I might do Flano. Would only go because Bret Hart is there and maybe a chance to get his autobiography signed. http://www.thefreekick.com/board/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Did you get the email the other day notifying you of changes to the weekend’s schedule?
The Bagles n’ Biceps Brunch is now going to be a Bagles n’ Biceps Breakfast.

Isnt it a buffet now. Its better that you get your tickets to mania and the other stuff a month before hand. There wont be as much pressure to get to Houston as early as we may have had to on that Friday. The Axxess tickets make up for any Brunch.
