Crap TV programmes from years ago

Yeah that was the one, it was a great show to watch once you understood the rules. I remember thinking to myself on many occasions that the show wouldnt last long because most thick fookers wouldnt have a hope of understanding it

It did indeed. I think it was hard to actually win a game on it. Don’t think it was on the air long.

Yeah that’s the baby. I dedicated a week or two to watching it once and got really into the tactics but it didn’t make for great tv for the casual viewer which probably killed it.

I like the way you were so PC with the “casual viewer” description rather than the more probable “thick fooker” description ;D

You’ve got to be PC these days Flano. Some of those “thick fookers” are probably on this forum. I refer to them just as “casual members.”

The Krypton Factor - BBC 2 i think. A few rounds of nerdy questions, one was a puzzle with loads of blocks that had to be built into a certian shape then the final was an outdoor obstacle course supervised by some army types. Now that i think of it this should be on a thread called great tv programmes, i fooking loved it

That was on ITV, jugs. Some lad called Gordon presented it. They had to land an aeroplane in one of the rounds too. Marvellous stuff - made by Granada in Manchester.

Anyone remember Gay Byrne presenting the Calor Gas Housewife of the Year competition?

Think the prize was a new kitchen for the winner. hi5

Quality. Everyone would be whining about political correctness if it was still around today. Actually, is it still around?

The lyrics board. Lord bless us and save us all. I remember seeing one episode with Barry McGuigan singing on it. Excruciating stuff altogether, the cheesyness of it all was outstanding.

Ballykissangel was unbelievably cringeful.
