Found out earlier this week that a former colleague has developed a serious meth problem. Worked with him about 8 years ago, never really had much to do with him, but he was a nice chap. Had a girlfriend and baby when I knew him, never really a party animal or anything. Apparently unemployable now and in serious trouble with the law for assault and robbery.
Ice / Meth has become a big problem here, in regional areas especially. Apparently there are parts of country VIC where it is endemic. A mate of mine is a fireman on the central coast and because he has hazmat responsibility, he’s mopping up home based meth labs the police discover every week. Another mate who is a policeman tells me the cops are under siege with this stuff and shtting themselves as they think it’s getting worse. Very difficult to deal with someone on an ice high and my mate has stories of extreme violence related to it. He was assaulted himself a few months ago by a bloke about 2 feet smaller than him (he’s a big boy), had to be treated in emergency, not too serious, but said he’d never seen such rage or strength in someone so small. The perp was in his 30’s, married with kids and had just beaten the shit out of his wife. There doesn’t seem to be a typical user, it seems to have pervaded every age group and most demographics.
Has meth reached Ireland in any significant ways? It really seems to be a horrible, horrible addiction with serious consequences for those around the addict.
So you just started watching breaking bad. Stick with it. It’s awesome
Episode three is a cracker.
Fitzy, go fuck yourself. It’s your choice to live in a failed society. Deal with it.
I love his use of the term “ice”. Ditzy is down with the kids yo.
Pal, bump the thread where you asked me about hip/groin pain. I want to provide you with a helpful answer. Please accept my apology for not reverting back sooner - I’ve been busy for the past week and have largely been dipping into TFK to vent at cunts.

Give him a start Fitzy FFS. If he could just spend time around you and touch the hem of your greatness, I have no doubt that he can turn his life around. You could even bring him with you to the cricket barbies.
