Good few lads did in the UK. Just in deal with it properly and out. Which is fair enough. Donāt have an issue with people going to UK to do it because it was a shorter term (which we now match). The regime over there far more streamlined and return to creditors as good if not better than you would get if they had stayed in Ireland.
Chris Lehane one of the best and most diligent civil servants in this country but the system is a fucking joke.

He is very quick to refuse guys an exit from bankruptcy if they havenāt cooperated. Heās giving Vol McFeeley an awful time of it

Itās fairly clear that the govt donāt want any sort of oversight of big business. I remember when Appleby was crying out for extra staff and he got nothing but NAMA got 50 extra employees.
If you look at the way certain individuals are taking the utter piss with bankruptcy then ask yourself what would happen if they pulled the same shit in other jurisdictions. System is flawed from the get go and there needs to be proper penalties for piss takers and draconian forfeiture for relatives who are benefitting from the chancers malfeasance.
