In fairness there’s been a very muted reaction to Ireland’s win. I think the traditional print and broadcast media along with the increasingly prominent digital / social media have all been extremely restrained and understated.

Why would he think the locals would care when the people that employed him didn’t think it worthy to broadcast. Corcoran reckoned the Cubs’ win had somehow impacted the rugby. This was a ridiculous comment even for a clown like Corcoran. The baseball had absolutely no impact on that rugby match, the locals don’t even know what rugby is. The fact you agree with Corcoran should set alarm bells ringing.
