I’m absolutely fucked.
I was tired going out.
You must have stopped for a coffee with that average speed.
Must have been on a high nelly at that speed.
4:44 elapsed too, must have been at the Gregg’s drive thru for a while
Forgot to turn it off at the end. Didn’t stop.
Great running!
first time in jump boots?
He did it and he didn’t even have an arse in his trousers.
Any mountain bikers here?
Thinking of buying a hardtail for the winter. Mainly to do forestry roads with some handy trails thrown in.
Tried it once up in Ballyhoura, frightened the bejaysus out of me if I’m honest. Brilliant when you are doing it but you think back of the risk and you’d be thinking it isn’t worth it.
Wouldn’t touch one.
Some unreal tracks up there.
dont do it
There are serious trail networks up here but I wouldn’t go near most of them. I’m half terrified running down some of them. I was looking at gravel bikes but the mtb gives me a few more options off road wise
Kid killed out my way a few months ago on a mountain bike. Freak accident. One of the easier trails. Some of the older kids you see on trails would leave you fairy nervous.
If you’re only doing handy trails and forestry roads, then the gravel bike, or even a cyclocross bike, with some knobby tires on there is your man. Gives you way more options IMO. Plus you can actually cycle to the trails at more than 20kph.
There’s lads here hiding under the beds for nine months from a flu. Bear this in mind when taking advice.
My advice is go steady and you’ll get down most things on a MTB,but if you fall off, it tends to hurt.
Just over 20,000 clicks done for the year.
132,000m in climbing so far.
Might take the rest of the year off now… naaah.
