Did 30 minutes / 7.5km on the bike there at 7.30pm. Christ, itās absolutely freezing out there.
Oh it is unexpectedly cold, which always makes it colder. I was tipping along this morning minding my own business when I made the mistake of overtaking one of those feckin eejits who took personal insult to this. I was on a fixie so every time we went uphill I pulled out a bit of distance and he would then bust his balls to try and over take me back. He was really winding me up because he was heavy breathing on my wheel and wouldnāt leave me in peace. We got to a very icy bit and I slowed right down which he decided was his opportunity to win the tour, and he launched an attack round my outside on a blind bend only to go arse over tip. I asked if he was alright and the cunt didnāt even have the manners to answer so I left him there like the prick he is. Why the fuck canāt people leave you in peace when you are just trying to punt into work?
Yeah, it was absolutely freezing in the hall of my apartment when I was on the exercise bike.
Have you considered an exorcism?

Nico finished 5th overall in the Tour of the Mediterranean last week. Surprising to see him competitive early in the season.
Itās almost like heās improved his training somehow since joining a crowd of dopers.
He seems to be preparing properly, finally
On the subject, I just finished reading Riisā autobiography, the cunt has no place in the sport. More cynical than Armstrong I reckon. For him doping was just like drinking water. He is a control freak who seems not to be aware that his riders Hamilton etc doped.
If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, its a fucking doper.
Lets just hope that this isnāt the case but it doesnāt look good for him.
I never realised that McQuaid had a brother involved in the sport as well. This is almost Jack Warner-esque.

Pat McQuaid might be a familiar name to you. The Irishman is President of cyclingās governing body the UCI and by definition one of the most powerful men in the sport. But heās not the only McQuaid in the sport.
Iād planned on having a look at the familyās influence on our sport but a quick glance just wasnāt enough. So this is part of a series of items where I take a look at the McQuaids and their role within the sport.
Family
Back in the 1960s Jim McQuaid was a prolific winner and off the bike he and his wife Madge had 10 children, including Pat. The Irish national team has seen a McQuaid on the squad time after time. Paul McQuaid for example represented Ireland in the Worlds. Impressive DNA.
Another son of Jim and Madge is Darach McQuaid. Heās the younger brother of Pat McQuaid and of course, a former racer. Today he runs a business amusingly called Shadetree Sports which acts as a marketing agency to help potential sponsors into the sport. Intriguingly the business was originally started along with Greg LeMond and linked to the disastrous Mercury-Viatel cycling team.
More recently Shadetree was behind the Tour of Ireland for example and his company website is trying to entice a corporate sponsor to back a pro cycling team. All good stuff, no?
Only some alarm bells ought to be ringing now. The concern has to be that the team can benefit from brotherly insider advice from Pat McQuaid. Similarly, in the race for a limited number of ProTour licences, could Darachās project get preferential treatment by the UCIās Road Commission because big brotherās got his back?
Or what if Shadetree decides to get a race off the ground, could the event get preferential treatment, for example a steer for certain riders and teams to take part, or even a higher UCI rating than the race merits? What about a convenient slot on the calendar? In short, do other race organisers have equal access or does Darach bring something special here because of his family tree?
All these questions hypothetical. But a well-run international governing body shouldnāt allow them to exist. More than ever sponsors thinking about investing in the sport need to rely on an unimpeachable governing body, not one that could be seen as sloppy with standards and ethics.
Worse, separate people have contacted me, including a well-regarded journalist, to suggest Shadetree Sportsās direct links into the heart of the UCI may indeed be exploited. If so, this isnāt healthy to put it mildly.
What a pile of shit that is, pure speculation and reads like it is the work of a 3 year old.

read this morn that shadetree are behind bringing the start of the Giro(some pedal race) to Ireland next year. So what does this mean? Are they making a packet from it or is it a good deed.
So the career of young Roche is following in similar footsteps to Michelle smyth is that what is being said here? will he win all round him now or what.
Can any of the bicycle enthusiasts point me to where national heros Roche snr and hard man Kelly have commented on the Armstrong scandal it doesnāt seem widely available.
Iām enjoying how HBV thinks heās being edgy and disruptive with these posts. Heās basically repeating (recycling if you like) what everyone else said about 5 years ago and thinks heās somehow upsetting some cycling folk.
Cycling folk? Look id just like to know what Roche and Kelly are saying, do you have the info or are you just intent on having a pop at me at every opportunity. Its not new and its getting tedious. Other more naturally edgier posters have been at it for years and now you think its hilarious. Leave it out.
So, kelly and roche?
Yeah itās total bollocks.
yeah itās cut and paste from AFR
