No prologue thingy to start this year?
roadcraft is a lovely wordâŚ
Belgian Bakelants or something won today, sprinted out of a five man break and then held off the peloton. Froome had a go on the last climb and descent, just testing. A large number of riders came in more than 12 minutes down today but no one important except Tony Martin and he had a bad fall yesterday.
Must say, Corsica looks like a nice holiday spot.
Simon Gerrans produces a shock to pip Sagan on the line, Phil Liggett calls it wrong yet again.
Was admiring it at the weekend alright. There was some hilltop village the helicopter camera went by near the end, it looked absolutely splendid.
Itâs a gorgeous place, I went there in 2010 with my sister and a friend. We hired a car and drove around the island for a week. Flew to Nice and got the ferry from there to Ajaccio, only booked the first nightâs accommodation in advance, booked the rest as we went along and departed from Bastia. We actually saw very few non Italian or French tourists there. Iâd highly recommend it. One thing though, my sister is very fair and pale and EVERYONE we came in contact with commented about her (in French/Corsican/Italian)
Anyone else here doing the Ring of Kerry cycle on Saturday? Any tips etc to help complete this would be appreciated. I have done some training but only up to 90km so hopefully will complete this alive.
Team time trial day around Nice today, should be a new man in yellow at the end of the stage with David Millar the bookies favourite.
Iâve had a small interest in Movistar at 8/1.
Sky or Garmin to win. If TNK win, Nico will be in Yellow.
Omega Pharma Quickstep have put up a pretty decent time, Sky 5 seconds behind at the first time check, Garmin are 4 seconds behind. This will be a nail biter.
Garmin have finished and are 3rd so far, no yellow for Miller.
Current standings @ Finish

2.Sky +0:02
3.Lotto Belisol +0:16

10.Argos-Shimano +1:46
Saxo Bank just 1.6 seconds down on Omega at the first time check.
Câmon Nico!!
Horrible to see the support for Nico on here. The Irish love a success story, no matter how dodgy the circumstances and links. I hope Dan Martin shoves Nico off a mountain.
Looks like Orico Greenedge have done it!
Gerrans in yellow. Nico is 9th on GC.
Griepel wins the bunch sprint in Montpellier, Cavendish was 4th. Great ride from the Manxman after he crashed and was 40 seconds behind with about 30kms left. Daryl Impey becomes the first South African to wear the yellow after Simon Gerrans faded in the sprint, Nicholas Roche is in 9th now. Top 10 â

Bad day for Astana, Brajkovic and Kessiakoff both retiring. Fuglsang will be totally isolated in the mountains now.
