Dans been training specifically for the TDF this season
He’s been decent in stage races this year. The route will suit him. He has a good chance of winning a stage but I think his top speed for attacking is not as good as it was. His cousin is riding it as well.
He sounds very bullish anyways, I was reading about how dans fathers had falling with his brother in law Stephen Roche back in the day and how dan has never sought or took advice from his uncle regarding cycling. Another motivating factor to drive him over the finish line I’d imagine
I’d say he’s not too bothered about the uncle. His father lost his place in ACBB in Paris around the time Stephen went out there. He was only a criterium rider.
