We already have a pretty ineffective Oireachtas which is entirely controlled by gov majority. And even beyond that pretty much all executive power is controlled not even by the government but by 3-4 ministers. And now Kenny wants to get rid of the Senate to save money. FFS how about introducing a token gesture like fully vouched expenses first.
I am confident this referendum will fail, it is very poorly thought out. I hope it leaves Enda with a bloody nose when it does.
