Forde got a two game ban and theyâre appealing it.
Heâll be free to play on Sunday as the committee isnât due to meet until next week. Youâd think theyâd make it priority to meet before a national final when there is business at hand.

Thatâs bananas. Fitz instigated the whole drama. Disgraceful to think Forde is sucked into the disciplinary end of it.
Dragged into it? He ran from a distance and hit Fitzgerald FFS!
You left âsourâ out of your handle there buddy.
Youâre missing the point, had the madman not flipped there would be no story. Forde is a victim.
Players are entitled to run on a pitch. Thatâs what they are out there to do. What was Fitzgerald doing on the pitch?
Theyâve been too lenient on him here.
Forde had nothing got to do with what was going until he brought himself into it. he has no one to blame but himself.
Players arent allowed hit anyone on a field. Regardless of who that person is. Forde had no business getting involved, neither did O Meara.
Managers rightly or wrongly, enter the field of play all the time. If the GAA wanted to clamp down on this, they should have done so a long time ago. Meanwhile, players canât be given a free pass for striking a manager. Davy is wrong. Forde s wrong. OâMeara is wrong too.
Is there not a rule whereby a player who has received a proposed suspension has the right to an appeal hearing prior to any game which he may miss being played? The game is not supposed to be played if the hearing cannot be convened in time.
Yes.
However, if the manager sticks to his role and lets the ref do his job and the players play the game, none of it would have happened. He endangered player safety, made a mockery of the officials and the rules of the game. If you can excuse Davy for getting emotional, then on the same hand you have to excuse Forde.
Fitzgerald should be excused from any future management role. 8 week ban was akin to giving him a bag of sweets and saying well done Davey. Not a role model,
I donât want to see or hear of him anymore.
But if a player sticks to his role, we will never need a referee. Sadly this isnât the case, even the avowed greatest manager ever in hurling repeatedly steps onto the field of play to berate officials.
It was not Forde or OâMearaâs job to confront Fitzgerald. They are both culpable in the incident.
Iâve said that all alongâŚ
The manager instigated the whole thing and quite rightly should be hit hardest⌠If you look at both incidents with the players, it was actually the manager in question who started the physical alteration when the players were merely having verbals.
Forde didnât do anything to Fitz. That lunatic is a wrecking machine and will drag anyone down with him. Forde is a victim.
I havent watched it in a few days, but I dont believe Davy was having anything with Forde before Forde made his way to confront him. Much like OâMeara. I repeat, players shouldnât get involved with anyone else on the field apart from opposition players. Its up to the referee to sort the rest out. Fitzgerald was in the wrong, but he was addressing the referee before he was confronted by the Tipperary players.
Of course he did, he struck him. Youâre being silly now. Silly grapes.
Not being silly pal but I just donât like to see good lads being sullied by Fitz. Forde went to him to tell to get off the field, it was Fitz yet again who went apeshit with Forde. Heâs a malign and dangerous influence. He needs to go.
What right had Forde to tell him to get off the field? Of course Fitzgerald was going to apeshit, who the fuck is Forde to tell a manager anything? Youâre getting sillier now.
Yes. Surely to God if Forde now plays on Sunday and scores 2-3 against Galway but is retrospectively banned then it sullies the win.
Conversation over. Youâve had it explained to you. Good morning.
