Forde was only standing up for his team mate O’Meara.

I think you are correct here. The rule was changed awhile back from the relevant competition to all competitions.

Yes.
However, if the manager sticks to his role and lets the ref do his job and the players play the game, none of it would have happened. He endangered player safety, made a mockery of the officials and the rules of the game. If you can excuse Davy for getting emotional, then on the same hand you have to excuse Forde.

But if a player sticks to his role, we will never need a referee. Sadly this isn’t the case, even the avowed greatest manager ever in hurling repeatedly steps onto the field of play to berate officials.

It was not Forde or O’Meara’s job to confront Fitzgerald. They are both culpable in the incident.

Would the Wexford hurler who hit Forde not get a ban also then?

Forde had nothing got to do with what was going until he brought himself into it. he has no one to blame but himself.

You just reckon if you can get thirty to fifty lads suspended in every other team, Laois might get a run in the back door. You are prejudiced from the off.
