The Cork and Wexford wins are just what hurling needed. There is no doubting that he has had a huge effect on Wexford hurling and one more win would really cap off a fantastic year and guarantee them to be hurling in August.
Its a relatively young side with powerful men and leaders and Iād expect them to continue building on it next year. The issue will come one the expectation is there and Wexford will expect to be a top 4 team. The sweeper style has its uses but as a default tactic it eventually is counter productive as too much time is spent working on systems and shape to the detriment of core skills and decision making.
I would genuinely love to see Wexford go on and win an a/I in the next few years. Hurling could badly do with 3 or 4 different all Ireland winners over the next 5 years after Kilkennyās hamogeny of the last decade

Sure Davy discreetly stepped in behind the scenes and used his significant influence to stop a few of them getting criminal records. Yet thereās Clare lads here having a go at him about man management and tactics. You literally couldnāt make it up.
