Davy was never in the frame for the Galway job. That was a convenient co-incidence.
He would have held out on the Wexford job for a few weeks anyway just for the shits and giggles.

I’m after hearing from a reliable source that Cody is leaving Kilkenny to take over Galway Hurlers. Pep is leaving Man City to go in as Cody’s assistant. Pepsi Cody they are going to call themselves.
