Davy Fitz- a thread for the non-believers

As I alluded to here recently , hurling is in the main a minority rural pursuit . The best players are largely unrecognizable to the general populace ( helmets granted donā€™t help) but Davy is instantly known north , south , east and west .

It is and is even divisive within the rural setting i.e. traditional counties etc.
He has managed to create a brand/commodity in what is a very small market share in terms of commercialism.
Youā€™d have to take your hat off to him, hard to even comprehend how he manages his 9-5 job !

Go back on it, it might sharpen you up a bit you stupid fucking spastic.

Youā€™re at nothing competing for Liam McCarthy these days without a wealthy benefactor cc @ChairmanDan

Truthfully mate, Iā€™m kind of glad. It would have been a bit of a laugh, but Iā€™m not sure it would have worked for either. Also, knowing the Co board finances, I never expected it to happen in the slightest. Imho thereā€™s a bit of want in businessmen who throw money at a senior county set up. If its a tax write off, by all means, or throw money at the whole structure, men and women, all grades, but paying the wages of a coach, Meh.
It should add a nice bit of spice to the Leinster championship. I think wexford would to well to be wary.
