I worked with a fella who got fired from coop for going in late the morning after the clocks changed. He had already been on a final warning. He was supposed to start work at 9 and the conversation went something like:
Boss: Where were you?
Suds: Sorry I forgot about the clocks changing
Boss: They went back, so you should have been an hour early
Suds: Oh right
Boss: And it’s 12 o clock
Only person I know of to ever get fired from Coop.

Just made a few phonecalls and I was indeed correct. The clocks have just gone forward. Make a note of the new time - 01.21.

Very possibly…
I lived with a lad going by the name of suds for 4 years in Castletroy. He done hid co-op in Flextronics and also definately used that clock excuse. He also got let go for a litany of things. His main fault though was in consistantly arriving in from the lodge at 3.30am before heading in for an 8.00am - 8.00pm shift.
