What has the father being 5 stone over weight got to do with it?
What does his fathers weight have to do with it being a wind up?
Like everything in life… the young lad just needs to prioritize.
Start dropping the stuff that doesn’t rock his boat and concentrate on what does.
are you for real? There is no need to try teaching the lad american style lessons in life. You will only come across like a fcuking spanner
we are talking about a young lad playing intermediate hurling for jaysus sake. Find out if he has a new girlfriend first before you do anything else. Then just keep him in the group as best you can and eventually it will resolve itself one way or the other
What does his sexuality have to do with this?
NCC has Tan all over the place.
Transfer this cunt to another club ASAP.

i meant his father is 5 stone overweight.
a fact which floated over my head alright. ooops.
really i wouldn`t make too much of it. no matter how talented the young lad is if you chase after him you will lose him anyway and you could damage the squad morale.
What county are you in? Give us a hint and we can all guess who it is o_O
Realistically how long are the 21’s likely to be involved for?
You say he was expected to make the break through to senior and didn’t, maybe this is playing on his mind and it’s more that he is becoming disillusioned with the sport as opposed to being actually burnt out. They are probably very similar symptoms (mentally).
careful there fungal and bandage might think you are posting from a hardware store with masking tape and a box cutter on the counter in front of you
leave him be and let him do his own thing…only he can get his enthusiasm back if he wants to…
this shit of “you’ll regret it in years to come” is nonsense. When you had the choice you didn’t want it…you can’t look back in years and because your life worked out a different way and say ‘if only I tried more’…the hunger now is gone…he might just be sick of having to go out every week and everyone expecting him to be the best player on the pitch…
is it him or the father that’s eating the kit kats?
Tell him to pack it in and go drinking, that way in years time lads can say, he would have played county no bother if it wasn’t for the drink.
Just got to let him go I’d say. He will eventually come back but anything you say now to try and convince him to play would end up driving him further away.
He sounds like he is depressed OP. Refer him to the nearest shrink.
I’m burnt out from this place.
Or the local PP.
we should bring you to the bar where Shannonsider, Jugs, Sledgehammer, BenShermin, TASE, Fenway Park and all the other greats who have quit early from burn out and let them regale you of tales of what could have been. Its a sorry sight, but they couldnt hack it and quit. They’d tell you a story or 2 that would buck you right up and get you back on track.
Just to be mentioned along with those great names would nearly be worth it…
Plough you’re own furrow, pal.
