Deflection thread

Totti you brought up acts of violence, nobody else mentioned, the spitting debate was on spitting itself.

It’s like some cunt saying in court saying he raped a girl but he didn’t rape and murder her, that’s far worse.

You are a special kind if idiot in fairness.

Spitting is in a completely different park to physically assaulting someone, I would consider spitting a minor offence, similar to a slap or a pinch.

Only a pussy spits. If a guy spits at me he is telling me he doesn’t like me or dislikes something I have done but is afraid of physical confrontation as he’d get the shit beaten out of him.

You have really exposed yourself on this one.

I don’t think spitting at someone is a calculated and weighed up-decision. I’d imagine it just happens in the heat of the moment. Your point doesn’t make much sense either as in a lot of cases spitting on someone would most likely result in physical confrontation.

Exactly, it’s reactionary, the reactions of a weak sports person.

Thanks for clearly that up.

If it is in heat of the moment then it surely doesn’t engage much deep psychological thought which you seem to be suggesting that spitting does. You have also failed to tackle the sub-point that spitting at someone would likely bring about the consequences that you deem they are afraid of?

You are openly contradicting yourself here and you have condensed that contradiction into a handful of words which is quite impressive.

Spitting is the low act of an utter coward. It is physical violence of the worst kind. To say its reactionary is bullshit. Belting someone in the middle of a game after they chopped you or dug you in the ribs with the handle of a hurl is reactionary. It takes a special kind of gutter dweller to spit, as the vast vast majority of people discount it as an acceptable reaction. You have to think about spitting at someone, its a conscious decision that someone takes, completely calculated and weighed up.

Totti, I don’t think you’ve ever actually played a game of football or any sport in your life.

Spitting is small fry compared to some of the actions that happen during sporting occasions. What sort of utter mong would you have to be to consider having saliva on your face more henious than having your jaw caved in, your teeth knocked out or your eye split open. My initial point which I made quite explicitly was the hyperbolic condemnation of spitting in comparison to the commonplace physical assaults that happen in sport, particularly as we have evidenced recently with the GAA. It’s not my problem that some of you can’t see the wood from the trees with the point I’m making.

Spitting is not physical violence, it bears no correlation to the term in any aspect. Like Kevin, you are a horrible hypocrite, you saw fit to launch a vitriolic attack on what you deem a lack of driving precautions on my behalf - all this time while you are very close to being banned off the road. You are a disgusting hypocrite.

Like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a…

Spitting is the sure sign of a low life knacker.

Not a bad return considering how much time you spend in Tipp

Minority of one stuff here.

Was “flemwad” in that list of rarely used insults that was going last week? If not, it should have been.

I was reading today about how Messi confronted Arbeloa who was with his wife after a game recently. As well as being overrated by the media, they also turn a blind eye to the reprehensible person. From taking drugs to get ahead of people to confronting people who are with their spouses to making demands to his manager and what caps it all of he has no personality.

Messi is a great

At least he didnt spit on Arbeloa’s wife.
