Nah, that’s fine pal. I’m 6, and floating around the 80kg mark
(haven’t a clue of actual current weight as don’t own a weighing scales).
That’s very light for your height, even a small gain in muscle will make a bigger difference to how you look and feel than further fat loss. Push-ups sit-ups and squats every day is a good starting point.
What a load of muck.
BMI is a joke.
BMI is a useful indicator at the population level, but at the individual level it isn’t. Most likely it’s telling you that you are overweight when you aren’t.
If you’re calculating your bodyfat then the mirror test is a good place to start. You can find plenty of guides online that provide pictures with the corresponding bodyfat %. Using those you’ll get a much better sense of where you are at than you will with BMI.
Thank goodness.
Will you stop, you’re like an aids victim above on your bike. You could deffo do with a few lbs.

@TreatyStones had a bit of a bugbear about coconut oil before if I recall.
I read a very good article recently about the fat myth. Basically fats don’t make you fat & carbs don’t make you fat. We’ve been eating fats and carbs since time began and we were never fat.
Sugar makes you fat. The introduction of processed sugar to our diet almost exactly coincides with the obesity epidemic.
Bit of a no brainer but just eating non processed foods and avoiding things with added sugar will help you lose weight.
That slimming world stuff is essentially a low sugar diet and cooking all your food from scratch, with a few other restrictions, if you look into it.
I think it makes a pile of sense intuitively if you think about it. Carb free diets & gluten free diets and paleo diets they all reduce your intake of shit food and sugar as well so may be examples of accidentally being on a low sugar diet.
High fructose corn syrup was first manufactured in 1957.
High-fructose corn syrup was rapidly introduced to many processed foods and soft drinks in the United States from around 1975 to 1985.
A system of sugar tariffs and sugar quotas imposed in 1977 in the United States significantly increased the cost of imported sugar and U.S. producers sought cheaper sources. High-fructose corn syrup became an attractive substitute, and is preferred over cane sugar among the vast majority of American food and beverage manufacturers. Soft drink makers such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi use sugar in other nations, but switched to high-fructose corn syrup in the United States in 1984.
Big jump in the 80’s when fructose started being put in everything.
Not the only cause obviously, but definitely sugar is a significant factor.
Well said, pal… And what I roughly wanted to say last night, minus the graph, but fucked if typing all that on a tablet.
The Slimming world diet from what I can see is the way to go if you want to reduce your weight vastly as it teaches about good/bad fats etc. etc… but more importantly it also teaches cunts to cook from scratch, making use of proper herbs and spices for flavour.
For people who are not over weight but just want to maintain a healthy life, slimming world would be too restrictive but a loose application of it’s principles would be fine.
While I agree on sugar 100%, people also need to watch dairy intake- particularly full fat dairy and i’m not on about a bit of cheese and milk in the cereal or tea - but rather large consumption of it.
A bit of full fat butter is also fine - again go handy.
Tests have repeatedly shown that people who use low fat dairy products while dieting excreted far more fat than those who used full fat products… and i’m not advocating those shitty low fat sweetened yogurts here - I’m on about low fat cottage cheese, lo fat natural yogurt, skimmed milk etc.
I’m in Singapore pal. By and large it helps being out here in comparison to being in Ireland, although there is a lot of fried food and a lot of coconut milk over here.
There’s nothing to healthy eating, forget all the fads. Just cook your own meals from scratch with fresh ingredients.
Easier said than done unfortunately.
I might try switching from cider to beer for a while see does it do anything, ridiculous amounts of sugar in cider.
I was a fat fucker before and I’m not going back
I read before that Paulaner is only coming in at around 205 cals a bottle - cider was near 400 - Guinness 295 — Or something along those lines.
You’ll be on the Bulmers light with the other fella tonight so?
If this is accurate it may not be worth your while. Bud and Heineken are both the worst and most disgusting of standard draught fare.
Is that for a glass of each?
You’re as fit as a healthy fiddle.
I’m not worried about Calories mate. Calories are a load of bollox, especially when it comes to drink. If you did nothing but drink 20 bottles of heineken a day would you get fat? Would you fuck you’d waste away to nothing.
But you’re a short ass stumpy little cunt probably with stubby little fat fingers and all.
From what I can see a pint of Guinness is about 220 cals.
Heineken about 250
Paulaner 185.
