Directions From Dublin Airport

I’m on a flight to Doha in early February. Departing at 7.30am, what time would I would i want to be there for?

Half 5 I’d say. Probably get away with later but not worth risking it. Anyway, a 3am alarm is pretty much the same as a 4am one so you’re as well being early

After the shitshow of summer 22, i think ythe DAA have the airport running quite efficiently this last year.

The new scanning machines have made travel a lot easier.

The trick when going through T1 security is to go left for the new machines. The ones on the right haven’t been upgraded yet. Or so I’ve been told anyway.

Wouldn’t know T1. Was an awful pain at Fast Pass in T2 when they didn’t have one and you’d see the normies getting through before you.

Whatever about scanning machines if you’ve a bit of time head to clock gate bar at 300 gates. Good service, sambos and stout - worth a check back before you attack the Ryanair Pier

I got the breakfast coming home from leoaprdstown on the 30th. Was in some heap but by the time I got to Limerick I was ready for pints again.

Its some breakfast they throw out.

I love a place where its all laid out for you and you tell the chef what to put on your plate as opposed to sitting down and waiting 20 minutes.

I think it’s a great bar in general but was laughed at here before for saying that.
Closes at about 7pm though, so be wary of that.

Its top class.

My Granduncle and Grandaunt used get on the train from Templemore (free travel) up once a week there for many a year.

She’d then get the bus into the city and get her hair done, or do a bit of shopping while he stayed at Heuston and got his carvery dinner and a few pints before she’d be back and they’d get the evening train home.

It was a top class system they had in place.
