In the UK if you hit someone and youâve a yellow belt (the lowest belt) in any martial art then they automatically upgrade it to aggravated assault because your hand is a potentially deadly weapon and youâre trying to injure someone.
And rightly so
Thatâs just an urban myth and isnt true at all
Well they told me it when I started ninjitsu is all I know
Ah would you ever fuck off with yourself
Thinly veiled âI hang around street corners at night recording peopleâ.
The cunt recording it is clearly enjoying it. Heâs recording in his own words âa batingâ and should have tried to assist or stop what was happening.
If he was standing around recording a rape would you be as forgiving to him.
This is true.
Heâs enjoying the spectacle of two lads, both of whom were presumably drunk or under the influence of something else, fighting
That isnât particuarly uncommon, I would venture that everybody on this forum has at some stage watched two men fighting like that and taken some entertainment from it, certainly if the entertained reactions here to previous videos of men fighting in public are anything to go by, that is very definitely the case
I highly doubt the cameraman enjoyed one of the men fatally banging the other manâs head into the ground
And even if he did, he still committed no crime
The whole point of my original post was that @artfoleyâs assertion that the person filming what happened was âjust as badâ as the perpetrator of the murder is obviously ludicrous
Which it is
Strange that anybody would get irked by somebody saying that
The cameraman wasnât recording a rape, if somebody in future posts a video of a rape in a public street, we can then discuss the hypothetical behaviour of the hypothetical cameraperson
The cameraman stood by and taped as he delightedly commented âthats a bateingâ
I hope id have intervened. I have in the past. Certainly wouldnât have watched it. You can clearly see the poor man trying to run away, and it had been going on long enough for him to get his phone out and, in the dark, find the recording system, open it, switch it to video, and start recording. Itâs terrible terrible terrible.
That should be a life sentence.
I awoke this morning and itâs the first thing I thought of.
Had I known it was a fight, I probably wouldnât have. Had I known how it ended, I certainly wouldnât have.
Iâd take it down @Copper_pipe simply as it may be used by the defence to try and close down the trial.
If he was my son getting beaten I would hope a bystander might try and stop it and save his life rather than video it and then having seen how it ended share the video on the internet.
Heâs a cunt.
It should be a life sentence, duh
And the whole thing probably happened in no more than a minute if not just the 15 seconds we saw there
Everybody commenting here watched the video, because people on this forum like watching videos of fights that happen in public, most people like watching such videos
Fights happen every night in every city and most towns up and down the country
You wouldnât have intervened because i) you wouldnât have expected one of the protagonists to pick the other up, turn him upside down in the air and ram his head into the ground, and because ii) youâd have been afraid of intervening
Neither would anybody else here have intervened
Quelle surprise.
And yet you canât explain why
Quelle surprise, as the simpleton above responded
Itâs not weird that a load of rural simpletons would class filming a fight that suddenly turned into a murder as a crime equal to that of murder
Thatâs why youâre rural simpletons
A bit like the Sean Bean character in The Field
The word cunt was used. They are equal parts cunt. The guy who committed the crime is more of a criminal alright.
Seems youâre as much a cunt as all of them
No, they arenât
I donât need to explain why, it should be obvious
You need to find out why
That could be difficult for somebody who doesnât understand something so obvious
Itâs like trying to teach somebody what âtheâ means
If you donât know at your age youâre hardly likely to get it now
Far be it from me to speak for @artfoley but I imagine it was a figure of speech he was using rather than saying the gimp filming it is guilty of murder.
Itâs the obvious joy in what heâs seeing that irks me. Itâs the same everywhere now days. People getting their phones out to record shit for social media is the first reaction rather that maybe use it to call 999.
Oh yeah, and donât class us all as yellow like yourself. I would most definitely intervened as Iâm sure would others here.
I intervened to stop a young lad getting a beating near Charlemont Street Luas stop earlier this year. Iâm still glad I did it and would do it again.
Itâs not a fight if a lad is being chased and clearly overpowered.
