It’s excellent.
The Studio. Shite. Watched most of episode 1 but abandoned it. Seth Rogan’s character shouting from minute 1 in that annoying American way. The camera shots are in that one shot style which will make you dizzy. Some of the other characters trying to be funny feels very forced in an American way that doesn’t seem to travel across the Atlantic very well. I find American’s doing comedy can either be really good or just crap. There is no middle ground!
I made it through the second episode. It just gets worse. I suspect Rogen thinks he’s a comedic genius - blissfully unaware that he’s as funny as a toothache.

Some bloke on Newstalk last week, the fella who does the tv and cinema reviews, was raving about it, saying it was top class. With the cameos etc, it seemed like it had promise. But I didn’t think it was funny at all. It was fucking annoying.
And Americans CAN be funny:
She certainly did step it up in Episode 3.
Not sure where it’s headed but we’ll keep watching now anyway.
Took me three episodes to recognise Sacha Baron Cohen also.

Four Seasons isn’t a bad auld watch. Takes a while to get going.
Watched Taboo S1 with Tom Hardy. 7/10 with a strong performance from Hardy and a largely strong supporting cast although his sister was poorly developed and the actor was very wooden. Will check out S2 if it ever comes out.

Id have given it a solid 8/10.No sign of season 2 ever being made.That yer wan from Kerry who played the sister.
Is Broadchurch worth a watch? Missed it first time around.

Season two of The Gold was a couple of notches behind the first series unfortunately.

Yes. It’s not The Wire but it’s entertaining and better than a lot of the rubbish out there. Lovely part of the world. 8/10 for me.
Stick isn’t half bad. Owen Wilson is great fun.
