Documentaries worth watching

Just been to see Weiner at the Light House. Absolutely brilliant. The makers had incredible access to Weiner throughout the campaign. There is no show like American politics. I found him to be very likeable, absolutely no bullshit with him. He’d have had my vote over that socialist de Blasio anyway.

Its absolutely brilliant. Some real lolz moment mixed in with utter cringe. Overall he was likeable

I don’t think I could bear to watch it tbh.

ive a huge interest now and for the last few years on anything universe. Eden channel is very good for them. we havent an iota about it. stuff like dark matter/energy & (super) black holes is unreal.

I watched a cracking doc about The Jam - About The Young Idea.
Great interviews with the three band members, Weller is particularly good and a number of fans and related peoples. Highly recommended for fans of this brilliant band.

Have this bookmarked to watch. Thanks for the heads-up.

Only watched it again last month. I was reduced to tears at times. Christ, but Donnellan and Fallon were among the best footballers to have graced the game. They grabbed each half of the final by the scruff of the neck, and did so by playing fast, clever football. Everything you’d expect from your leaders. A joy to watch - and I don’t just say that as a rose-tinted goggle wearing gaillimheach

Donnellan in his early years was unbelievable. Ja was pure class.

Fallon was just amazing. Horrible to think he was nearly lost to rugby. He had it all, skills and brawn. He was fair ripped. He made a fucking mug of Glen Ryan in that second half. Beautiful.

The bit in that where they take Sam to the auld buck in the bed is lovely. A great documentary, sad to think you’d never get that access again in an amateur sport.

I saw him line out for Galwegians back in the day. He was a fantastic athlete. So evasive. Made it look easy. If we had him in 2000 against Kerry… but ifs doth butter no parsnips.

Humphries wrote a nice piece on him after the 1998 final.

he saw “saw” three months?

or did he see saw?

has saw been seen or has he seen saw?

If saw has been seen but there was no one to see saw being seen has saw been seen?
