Have heard smashing reviews of it. I cant fucking wait. 20 years, jesus where does it go.
Watching the story of nibbler now
Have you seen “bitter lake” by Curtis from last year. Any good?
Rubber bandits were touting this last weekend
Not bad what I recall. The latest one is entertaining but pretty incoherent.
Herzog’s Grizzly Man was class.
I thought it was pretty good actually. Interesting if true.
Just watched 13th on Netflix about the mass incarceration system in the states, well worth a look
Thought it was OK. The bit with your one going on about conceptual art to the Afghans and the whole absurdity of that as a method of promoting democracy or change gave me a right good laugh. A dfucking urinal FFS
The Century of the Self is easily the best work Curtis has done in my opinion. The Mayfair Set would be my second favourite, and The Power of Nightmares is very good as well.
All of his documentaries are kind of disorienting and an experience in themselves, but in many of them the core arguments are a bit flaky. In those three I think the core arguments are very solid.
“The Trap” is good too.
Johnny Giles would like it.
Watched this last night. Fucking mentalists.
The farm - story of Angola prison in Louisianna is a good watch.
Life literally means life here. Hell on earth.
Absolutely brilliant I thought.
Yeah it’s a smashing watch. Your man is a great character altogether. I’d say to do one loop would be an achievement in itself.
You’d want t be doing 3 loops at the very least, I’d very disappointed if I didn’t finish it
I’d say you could do anything you’d put your mind to.
I have amazing willpower
