The best way to get your computer running at its optimum level is as follows:

Press ctrl alt del and go into performance. Here you can see the CPU Usage of your Computer. Most computers will only be at a few % of this. Keep opening stuff (the more complex the better) until this is at 100%. Keep this level at 100% for a half an hour. The following day leave it for an hour etc. etc. until eventually its at 100% all day. Your computer will now be fit as a fiddle and able for anything.

If you need faster results try circuit training. This usually involves placing heavy weights on top of different parts of your computer for various lengths of time. This will get all the circuits working faster.

You can also try resistance training. This involves placing your computer against the wall and pushing against it. This will reduce the resistance of the electric current reducing wear and tear to your computer.
