Does anyone here actually really like their work? PS please could you give a clue as to what you do if so

I think you may have the wrong end of the stick here pal and may be projecting your own frustration or just basic hatred of the emailer.
The right response would be to message him privately, tell him you fully support his escalation to head of legal etc and offer to support and help in any way. Agree with his frustration and maybe throw in how it affects your performance metrics.

This will a) throw him out of shape and completely confuse him if he is being cuntish b) if he’s not, you gain an ally and he basically owes you one.

Every crisis is an opportunity for you to strengthen your position or weaken those around you.
Do the opposite of what you’re feeling, strategically better in the long run.

I didn’t really understand fully what went on there but I don’t see any slight against our fearless leader, I don’t know how some lads can get by :man_shrugging:

In his brazen jobsworth attempt to use @Bandage as some sort of launchpad he has fucked himself longterm, senior management will spot him for what he is a mile away now, never go over your own link in the working chain.

Management will recognise him as one of their own. Do you think we’re living in some class of meritocracy?

You have to stamp your authority at every opportunity. It’s the only language these captains of industry understand. Not nailing this guy now that bandage has been put under the spotlight of senior management, will be the equivalent of a limp handshake- it will stay in the memory of higher ups for forever.

You can be sure ‘a lack of backbone’ will be mentioned in the end of year appraisal.

I don’t think the game’s up yet. I’d copy everyone into a curt email saying something along the lines of “thanks for the legal advice…i sure everyone needs to pay attention to you, and your speculations on these matters”.
Then I’d organise 5-a-side, break his ankle and call it done.

This upcoming Bando update will tell us a lot about the character of the man. Will he use conflict management by having a private convo (pussin out) or will he stand his ground in the Corporate Colosseum, potentially even impressing some exec-level figures in the process?

The forum awaits.

He never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

This is the kind of filing system that Bandage’s org needs to implement.

Life’s too short. The higher ups don’t give two fucks about either of them.

What we do in life, echoes in eternity.

Employers take on two types of people.
Ones they are grooming for senior management and workhorses.

Which one are you?

Sure we know he’s not a workhorse.

Do you for a minute envisage our fearless moderator as a box to box flunkey?

I thought not. He’s the mercurial executioner up front knocking them in relentlessly….

I’m anticipating a cleverly worded missive sometime after lunch (Baileys coffee incl.) where he slips in an ankle-breaker on this wimp…

Update: I’m going to head to The 51 in a while to consider my next tactical move over a few Baileys Coffees.

Probably worth “leaning into”your Wexford GAA contacts and have a chat with Derek McGrath on the matter?
Sun Tzu would surely have a tactic for this situation

A lot of Employers love a workhorse at senior management . Does the work , asks no questions and the boss still knows the he’s the smartest person in the room.

there’s a silent majority here that have to get out of bed to accomplish the balancing one-third .
