Does gin go off if it’s been open for a bit?

You should always have a shot out of a new bottle on its own.

The Botanist is a wonderful gin if you ever find yourself in duty free again.

Just the one shot? Why so?

Taste.

If it’s a good gin it should be good on it’s own, shaken or stirred. A very dry gin martini with no vermouth is a noble drink.

No, but I think it’s hard to compare the taste of anything if you are mixing it.

Ah no. You still get the taste of the gin with a basic tonic. Not too much of it. None of those flavoured tonics either, you don’t taste the gin at all with them.

Does gin keep? Found an old bottle of this tack, dutch sugar beet gin

Was it opened and if so how much of it is gone?

Unopened

Does gin go off if it’s been open for a bit ?

I’ve no idea, kinda why I was asking

It’s fine then I would think. If it hasn’t been exposed to the air then there should be no oxidation and the only other possible issue would be if it were stored very warm.

I have come to the conclusion that Dingle Gin is the best gin on the Irish market

Wasn’t that product and the Vodka an afterthought as the whiskey too 10 years to bond and they needed something to keep the plant going
