Does gin go off if it’s been open for a bit?

How would gin connoisseurs rate cork dry gin?

Like their hurlers. Soft, dry and very little character.

Two bottles of Drumshanbo - any colour you like plus two glasses 50 quid at Bloom. A bargain in any man’s language.

You’d worry about them lasting. Their price point used to be 45/50 quid, now you can get bottles for 30 quid

Not gone on Drumshanbo, Dingle is a far nicer gin.

The Gin Bubble has burst again

It’s all about the Malfy Gin these days

I’m very disappointed in the new cork dry gin bottle/label. The old one was a bit of a stalwart. Powers managed to redesign successfully- tjeir new bottle is lovely. This camp cdg thing is an aberration

Dingle gin €25 a bottle in SuperValu with a rewards card. That’s as cheap as I’ve seen it. Usually 38/40 euro. Limited to 3 per customer. If you can find a shop that still has it in stock. Offer ends tomorrow.

My pal (I know) who has a distillery reckons there’s a glut of gin on the market, and there will be some great deals to be had over the Christmas

Dingle is my favourite.

It’s lovely stuff. I like their whiskey too.

I like the Gunpowder myself

So do I but I prefer Dingle. Gunpowder has come down a good bit in price. You should never pay more than €35 as it’s always on special somewhere.

Haven’t tried the whiskey. Is it good?

I think it’s lovely stuff alright. The gin was and the vodka was for cash flow until the whiskey comes on stream, think most new distilleries do that.

I wouldn’t be a gin drinker really but that Malfy Orange Gin is lovely stuff with a drop of bitter lemon and dash of prosecco.

Educate me as I am not much of a gin drinker.

So you really taste the gin type under a mixer such as tonic?

Yes. But definitely not those flavoured tonics.
