Does hurling have a diving problem? Fights in the crowd at GAA matches and other stories

So you’re happy enough that Hogan couldn’t stand up and went down in genuine pain

Slight difference to head contact being made and top of the arm.

Wasnt english split, blood spilled? Thats on par with Hogans youre suggesting?

This is hilarious

Did English roll around on the ground?

I’m saying both tackles warranted yellow cards. Ref got both right, I’d argue dessie could have gotten two yellows from that passage of play given the very blatant Hurley pull as well

Not in real life or on a hurling field you wouldn’t. A yellow card for a BLATANT Hurley pull?

The ref will be happy that Adam is getting all the attention here but the assessor won’t have missed it

Adam Hogan needs to come out and confront the accusations on his social media account/s.

He needs to FRONT UP, as they say in rugby.

Only a simpleton could look at both incidents and not see the difference in force between both.

There wasn’t a huge amount of force in the Kelly one - it was a swipe for the ball. Same motion as hutch only higher

Yesterday should bring Mr Mooney on a tonne in his personal quest to become a top top hurling referee.

For the funny bone defense ive never seen anyone toss their arms into the air when hitting their funny bones, most normal non clare folk tend to bring their elbow into their side.

Not like @Big_Dan_Campbell to be making a show if himself.

He’s still rattled from the battle with @Fagan_ODowd it would seem.

If my teams player did it, it’s fine
If an oppostion player did it, it’s not.

Standard operating proceedure

I’d say the Clarehurlers forum held an emergency caucus and briefed him there this morning and sent him out to bat on the INTERNET

If the funny bone is hit, you must acquit

I’m only dealing in facts. Two yellow card offences committed against Adam in the one passage of play.

A free was correctly awarded and yellow issued for the loose Hurley to his elbow.

Everything else is subjective here. Maybe Adam exaggerated the impact, maybe he was in a lot of pain but the poor chap was fouled twice get is being made out to be the villain in all of this

Although Hogans dive was embarrassing and a blight on the game I wouldn’t discount the possibility that Ogie decided to go in two footed on Clare this week because of the impact that Clare’s histrionics had on the Cork match last week.

Victim blaming at its worst.

Cork are the cash cow and must be protected at all costs. They will get the benefit of the doubt at every opportunity.
