Does whiskey go off after its been open for a bit?

Half of a bottle of Japanese whiskey could be scotch for all we know.

I wouldn’t even throw it in with ginger and lime

Anyone bought the redbreast 10 year old and taste it? I’ve a bottle that I might open if it’s good.

It’s apparently 10-15 year old distillate so worth a spin I’d say. The 12 year old is a lovely drop if you like that style of whiskey.

Yeah it’s lovely as an after dinner drink

Bushmills protestant whiskey is €20 for 700mls in Lidl at the minute

Got a gift of a bottle of Redbreast Lustau there. Lovely drop. Recognisable as Rebreast but a little more Sherry input. Would highly recommend

You’d probably grow a tail if you drank it.

He’s banging the drum for it there.

For the day that’s in it

Red Breast 12 years old is approx €20 cheaper to buy in the North.

Charge!

Can you recommend the best whiskey for 300 quid-ish?

Three bottles of Yellow Spot.

This one, while obscure, would be great:

More mainstream but a superb drop:

Slightly over budget (if euro) but I would consider this bottling probably the best value whisky in the world (and their 25yo could be glossed in similar fashion):
