Does whiskey go off after its been open for a bit?

Bought a bottle of it but I must say I’m underwhelmed. Not a patch on the black barrel

Enjoyed a few glasses of three swallows last night. Very nice. Paid 46 euro for it though not sure its that much better than Caskmates Stout which is regularly available around the 30 euro mark

I dunno, I’d way prefer crested myself, I dunno did I get a dodgy bottle (it was given to me as gift) but i rarely go for the black barrel.

You’d get a lot of cocaine for 7,500

The whiskey would still last you longer

Would she be a daughter of PJ’s? Serious gaelic football man

I’m guessing so anyway. PJ was in flying form for the presentation at the county final recently, worth a gander on youtube for the sheer roasterism.

A decent fella. I’d say he was a tough bastard in his day

This is a gamechanger lads, a whiskey contraption. A birthday gift from one of the most observant labanes, the glass has a raised dome on the bottom which accomodates a large round ice cube that swirls around the dome. A plastic mold for making the ice cubes obviously included. It’s designed so the ice just touches the whiskey, thus removing the real issue of melting ice diluting the whiskey too quickly.

edit. the lovely crystal glass was included as well.

Have you seen those whiskey rocks? You freeze them and put them in instead of ice. They’re ideal for that role

I think I may have posted about them before on this thread. They definitely do the job keeping the whiskey cold and not diluting it. They lack the aesthetic quality though of a translucent ice cube in the glass.

Monday night football. Hard to call.
