Go play with the traffic mate
And yet the facsimile shock jock schtick won’t earn you an obituary in the New York Times.
Do other people, even dead people, really make you feel so inadequate.
Poor old Dolores, one of my earliest memories was catching my mother crying in the kitchen on a morning of December 1980, my eldest two had a similar experience this morning when my own wife became very emotional at the end of the morning show on radio1. It’s awfully sad, the daffodils always make me think about Dolores,
‘I have decided to leave you forever
I have decide to start things from here
Thunder and lightning won’t change
What I’m feeling
And the daffodils look lovely today’
RIP
Wtf is up mate?
She was a singer in a bland enough band. Why are you getting so emotional?
Not overly mate, any young death is sad, I would have listened to the first two albums quite a lot at a certain stage in my life, it’s hard to explain but it seems an awful shame,
Her lyrics (much of the time) and voice were far from bland
Interesting tweet. I think The Cranberries were part of a soundtrack of a decade - popped up everywhere. Listening to all the songs over the last day is a nostalgic reminder of all that (cc @Bandage )
Her best moment was when she starred in that Father Ted episode.
I only know Zombie, Linger and Dreams - had they any other decent tracks? Doubtful if I dont know them … couple of lads getting very misty eyed hear – But I suppose Cranberries would have been prime showing when most of us were teens of some sort when the world was there for the taking. Dolores’ passing is just another nail in our own coffins, the first being the death of Kurt Cobain, and the realization that the world wins in the end.
Goodbye Limerick’s rose.
I never liked you, but I always loved you.
did the children live with her or the ex husband?
Zombie was written about the Warrington bombings. Never knew that.
I remember when it was such a big deal that Dreams was played on ‘My So Called Life’.
First album playing over the airwaves at ORK this morning.
God damn. You just can’t fuck about on the INTERNET.
Even back then you were ‘safe’ - Getting excited about safe songs appearing on safe tv shows.
You’re safe, man.
We all wanted to be Jordan Catalano mate.
Young snowflakes nowadays probably grow up wanting to be Rickie Vasquez
Today FM now playing that version
Didn’t know he could paint.
He’s a savage for the cutting in
