Donal Og's - On the Line
I’ve good time for Donal óg but no way he should be defending that other cunt here. What he said was cuntish, poorly timed and very disrespectful to the “smaller” clubs. He also looked like an absolute retard after they hammered Clare.
The bit about all he’s done for Cork etc. What about all JBM has done for the cunts? They don’t deserve a legend like him.
In fairness you can’t blame him for the timing, he gave the interview 3 weeks before the game, they decided to print it the day before presumably for dramatic impact. What he said was still dickish mind.

There was clearly an agenda there. Maybe he should have been wiser, probably will be next time, but that’s the point Donal is making, the media are killing interaction and debate with their obsession of sensationalism.

Thrawneen I wasn’t being funny! SLR’s criticism of young players was cuntish at times.

thats right
he was a thundering bollux to say what he said , if he said it, but donal og is saying that the issue we have is that now no one will talk to the media as what is being said in an interview is being twisted around.
sean og’s english is brutal anyway so maybe the journalist didnt understand him , i dont know,
but come on, at least he says something, imagine reading an interview with Joe Canning, Brendan Bugler and Walter Walsh as they give us an insight before sunday, you wouldnt get 5 lines

name a GAA analyst who does give an opinion apart from spillane, brolley and DoC?

I know, but you have to laugh. I wasn’t saying your post was funny. Just the whole thing. The amount written about Dowling that time was, well, laughable.

Loughnane, Duignan, Daithi Regan, Jamesie O’Connor, Willie O’Connor, Donal O’Grady

Donal Óg Cusack.

Cowshit accent.

I like Donal Og a lot, he’s a very good analyst and an intelligent writer generally. But that article’s drivel.

Mullane called Loughnane “ignorant” on Newstalk this evening.

“I won’t comment on that, if I’ve a comment to make I’ll make it me Irish Independent column. But when you’re dealing with ignorant people, the best thing to do is to ignore them.”

Reminded me of Ron Atkinson’s “I never comment on referees and I’m not going to break the habit of a lifetime for that prat.”

I think people with agendas hung Sean Og out to dry over those comments. What he said about the state of Cork hurling in general in that interview was spot on!

The standard of club Hurling in Cork is pretty good i would have thought.

thought you had a new job and you were going to stop posting?

Nah, it’s too nice from what I last saw. The Glen are the only team with the steel of Portumna or anyone like that and they don’t have the hurlers. Cloyne and Erin’s Own were the last 2 dominant sides who had real steel. The championship is full of “nice” hurlers. SARS are a nice hurling team, Midleton an Bishoptsown the same. The level of skill will match and surpass anything out there, as will the speed, fitness an preperation. But it lacks cut and thrust.

The Premier Intermediate grade would be more physical at times and often more entertaining as well.

There is definitely a deficiency in the coaching and the way the game is being played in Cork. If we had 3 or 4 JBM’s coaching the top club sides we’d be flying. Cork showed signs of a more mixed approach and some old school values in the 2 games to date, lets hope it continues. I am simply flabbergasted the whole hurling world thinks there is no more value in an overhead pull every now an then. Been a few more ground stroke goals though, which is good.

They aren’t shy about using an on the head pull though.

What was this in relation to? What did he not want to comment on?

He said Mullane let Waterford down by not playing this year
