Donal Og's - On the Line

Stupid fucking comment.

A typically vindictive Loughnane comment.

May he RIP.

I actually like the doddery old cunt but he comes out with some ridiculous comments at times. I caught a couple of minutes of a discussion on Newstalk on Monday and there was some ex-Wexford player on who said he always laughed when people said to him that they’d give their right arm to play for Wexford when in reality very few people would have the dedication to do what was required to play IC these days.

I think that was Gizzy Lyng

Agree. Which is a pity cause I like loughnane.

im waiting till larry duff/ Raymond Crotty calls it red over

Well it was the master of spouting Feakle matter himself, Loughnane.

Though Mullane was talking out of both sides of his mouth too. On the one hand he was oh I’m thirty three and you know em at the end of the day like I have other things to eh do em with me life and on the other hand it was well you know em like Michael Ryan has me phone number like and at the end of the day like em I never got a call.

He played IC for 12 or 13 seasons and owes Waterford nothing in fairness.

They never beat KK, he owed them that.

They beat them in a league final in 2007 and he was one of the few players to come out of the 2008 debacle with any pride.

It’s bullshit to automatically assume that Waterford would have beaten Kilkenny if Mullane was playing. Leaving aside the fact that he has been out of the game for a year and that even then his powers were on the wane, he more than anyone else would fire up whatever pride and spirit Kilkenny have left in the tank. He represents everything Kilkenny hurling people hate about Waterford.

He has a personality and a full time job-they fucking hate that.

Just laying out the facts, old stock. Waterford have never bet Kilkenny. But you dismiss one assumption as bullshit and yet slot in an assumption of your own to cement your point!

What did I assume…?

Mullane would fire up what spirit is left in KK?? What kind of shit is that?

Listen, I like John, but he walked away with an asterisk.

Yeah fair enough. I’d agree with that.

He will be back next year if a different manager is in place

He won’t and there won’t be a different manager in place. The run in the qualifiers has ensured that.

He won’t have an AI medal-that will be the asterix, nothing to do with not beating Kilkenny in c’ship which I assume you mean now.
