Very good, pal. Would they do a brunch there too? I forgave Herb Street for their racist tweet about John Joe Nevin a while back but wouldnāt mind another decent brunch option in the locality.
Thereās another new coffee shop after opening in GCD down the side of The Marker too.
Taxi driver Robert Noone was telling me recently that Herb Street wanted to knock through into the premises between itself and Bakerās but were outbid at auction. They then approached the new owner, who revealed to them that he purchased the building as a present for his missus. Sheās apparently going to open a beautician type business there.
All in all, Iām thrilled with the commercial developments in GCD which are pricing the original inhabitants of the area and other lesser well off people away to other neighbourhoods. We could do with a good pub though.
Oconnells in donnybrook on morehampton rd have started brunch.
I was going to embellish my post re: corpulent in the relevant thread by somehow invoking @Bandage. Sources tell me that I would have erred gravely. Lithe is now the proper definition.
Iām certain you are.
@Horsebox. Broadly agree with you regarding The Ferryman. Service can be slow and almost grudging, even when itās not tremendously busy.
Hey Bandage, if you are certain of your facts, then really thatās enough for me. Later on I will post a video showing the area before it was redeveloped, which is not intended to prove or disprove your assertions, but is intended to provide an interesting historical context for the area.
I like Juniorās but Iām not sure Iād rate it above Herb Street. Itās also barely inside my āwilling to walk that farā radius.
I understand theyāve taken Mississippi Mud Pie off their evening menu to try other dessert options. This has caused severe consternation in several quarters.
Eggs Benedict is a favourite of mine, pal. Iāll have a stack of pancakes or French Toast on occasion if Iām feeling naughty. Iād have a full Irish very rarely too. Iād drink Apple Juice and tea or coffee depending on my mood. Itās very enjoyable having Sunday brunch while browsing TFK to see who Kevās been rowing with overnight.
didnt they have to ship out all the soil to holland to be incinerated ? i seem to remember there being a soil conveyor belt there and a ship collecting it
The day I bought the flavoured oxygen in a can in Boots was the high tide of my Celtic Tiger excesses.
I went out to car park and used the mouth piece and inhaled oxygen from a can. Lemon flavour. A trapped Chilean miner may have benefited but I think oxygen levels in Ireland are healthy enough.
As it was oxygen I wasnāt sure if the can was empty as it weighed the same before and after.
Oh I know and same with the pancakes, pal. Brunch is my weekend treat after working out diligently during the week. Though Iād sometimes get a Mexicano wrap in Donnybrook Fair instead of brunch.
