Down Kilbarrack road I head for the coast

As the northern estates close in,
They close in on me so blatantly,
A thickening of the skin

Well the inner city folk
They often spoke
With a tongue that was more like a fist
On their reservation six miles north
Of the slums that some still missed

We’d walk the train tracks, out to the haystacks
As the swerved towards a greener world under Baldoyle bridge
The gateway ridge
Our hay jump dreams unfurled

Fucking love this song. I jog the kilbarrack road often enough these days and this song is always in my head.

Wayne had a very lucky escape with that cunt of an enterprise

The change of pace about half way through is phenomenal

What is this song? Damien Dempsey?

It’s great to hear howth’s beauty celebrated in song. I pity malahide and their paucity of celebrated bridges, and abundance of Protestant churches.

top song.

Yes, Canadian Geese

Well done cheese. This reminded me to buy tickets for vicar st on 20th dec!

hmmm… is this a seated event?

It is in it’s brown.

Some seated. But it’s all about being down front and centre, jumping and singing your heart out.

I’ve been to 2 of his gigs… savage, unreal. Roaring like a loon…

The wife is big into him too and she is going for an ankle op in early Dec. Might go yet. The cast might curb her xmas shopping activities too so could be a swift trip…

Could have been me in my younger days.

Cool as a breeze.

Cool as a polar bear’s Mickey.

bedlam at the cycle path tonight. 10 squad cars and three fire engines there when I was coming home. Got this text. “Was walking on the cycling path around Bayside and a van (yes a van ) sped past me crashing into the wall and carreering on… I didn’t even see it coming… it didn’t hit me but was very close… apparently a runner was hit further along the path”
